The PIEcal Model 525B Automated RTD & Thermocouple Calibrator is an industrial temperature sensor calibrator that accommodates RTDs (resistance temperature detectors) and thermocouples with its built-in NIST-traceable cold junction sensor. The PIE 525B is also suitable for use in calibration labs since its high accuracy and resolution are achieved by using an extremely stable, low drift circuit design featuring a +/- 0.05degC reference thermistor. In addition to registering actual temperature, the PIE 525B shows the precise resistance value when displaying RTD temperature. It features patented automatic detection of 2, 3 or 4 wire RTD connections and also detects when individual wire connections are open circuit. Inputs are protected up to ±60VDC against possible misconnection.
The 525B fits in the palm of a hand and weighs less than a pound. Its rugged design allows for safe and easy use in the field with its protective rubber boot, low profile switches, easy-access AA battery compartment, and a brightly backlit display. The double-click menu system allows for quick setup, fast switching between functions, and simple pre-programming of set points or step/ramp times. Standard functions include sourcing and reading of 14 thermocouple types, 12 RTD curves, millivolts and resistance. Additional features include the ability to turn cold junction compensation on/off, the display of cold junction temperature, and a secondary display showing corresponding mV/Ohm temperature values.
For trouble-free temperature control in an industrial environment, it pays to have a well-designed calibrator on hand to quickly evaluate and check process control issues.
- Increased number of T/C types from 10 to 14
- Added RTD types for Platinum 10, 50, 200 & 500 Ohm for the 1.3850 (IEC 751/DIN) curve
- More accurate & stable cold junction compensation -NIST Traceable Cold Junction Sensor in isothermal block
- Secondary display - Shows millivolts and cold junction temperature while displaying thermocouple temperature and shows ohms while displaying RTD temperature
- Troubleshoot RTD Sensors & Instruments - Automatic detection of 2, 3 or 4 wire connections indicates when individual wire connections are open. Verify proper instrument operation by measuring the excitation current.
Proline Promag 10D is an electromagnetic flowmeter for bidirectional measurement of conductive liquids. It is used for flow measurements in water or service water applications. Due to its easy installation and operation, its robust design and low price it can be used in applications where only limited principles could be used before. Drinking water approvals according to KTW/W270, WRAS BS 6920, ACS and NSF 61 are available.

New SNAP-UDC-HDB-G4 and SNAP-UDC-HDB breakout boards from industrial automation manufacturer Opto 22 boost the capabilities of 32-point SNAP digital I/O modules, simplify field wiring, and save panel space. With the SNAP-UDC-HDB-G4 breakout board, OEMs, machine builders, and automation professionals can connect 32-point SNAP digital I/O modules to higher loads and gain the reliability of fused outputs and isolated inputs, while the space-saving SNAP-UDC-HDB breakout board provides convenient spring-clamp connectors for up to 32 field devices, all in a small footprint. Both new breakout boards are part of Opto 22’s SNAP PAC System, which includes programmable automation controllers (PACs), Ethernet-based I/O systems, and PAC Project automation software.
Endress+Houser bunker fuel metering system is based upon the tried-and-tested Coriolis mass measurement, which has been used successfully in custody transfer applications in the oil and gas industry for decades. It eliminates problems with traditional measurements and ensures maximum transparency during the bunker procedure. This system, developed and patented by application specialists, ensures that air pockets are included correctly in the measurement when emptying tanks.
The KOBOLD RCM Series differential pressure direct-reading flowmeter is suitable for monitoring compatible liquids and gases having a low to medium viscosity and low solids content. The RCM flowmeter features rugged, compact construction with no moving parts to wear out. In liquid applications of 6 GPM and higher, pulsation snubbers are incorporated into the connecting pressure passages to produce smooth flowmeter operation independent of pipeline turbulence. The RCM flowmeter was developed for industrial flow metering applications in which durability and reliability are important considerations. The prime goals achieved within the RCM flowmeter design are: accuracy, small size, low cost, minimal maintenance and increased resistance to accidental damage. Typical applications include: lube oil and cooling water flow monitoring, blending processes, reverse osmosis systems, and compressed air measurement. The RCM direct-reading flowmeter is optionally available with a 4–20 mA analog current output for interfacing with remote displays and controllers. Limit switches are also available to provide high and low limit signals. In addition, a 0–1000 Hz frequency output is available to drive frequency-based controllers and counters.
