Designed to address some of today’s toughest measurement challenges in the upstream and midstream natural gas markets, Emerson introduces the Rosemount Analytical 370XA gas chromatograph (GC) for C6+ BTU / CV applications, including custody transfer, power generation and burner fuel/air ratio control. Meant to operate unattended in even the most extreme weather conditions and withstanding ambient temperatures within -20 °C to 60°C (-4 °F to 140 °F), the smarter, compact, and more economical 370XA features advanced technology, improved diagnostics, and an intuitive local operator interface (LOI ). Built-in software assistants included in the LOI guide the user through common operation and troubleshooting tasks, greatly simplifying the installation, startup, commissioning and on-going maintenance of the 370XA.
A unique innovation of the 370XA is its Maintainable Module™ technology. It incorporates the GC’s analytical components inside of a module that can be easily maintained or replaced at the component level in the field in most cases, substantially reducing repair costs and downtime. If the module needs more serious repair, a replacement module can be installed while the damaged one is sent to the lab or back to the manufacturer for further inspection. Upon replacing the module, the GC will automatically begin to self-diagnose and self-calibrate, doing much of the startup on its own and getting back online without having pressed a button.
